“Christians coming together to bless the children of Orange County”
We desire to see children receive help in the beginning of the school year. It is fulfilling when students are capable to handle the requests of teachers. When they have the basic required items that are needed to embark on the adventure that a new school year brings.
Starting a new year at a different level with the things you need, while knowing you will not be looked at differently nor will you be without necessary bits and pieces, means much to children. Who in times past have started without the things they knew they needed.
In 2011 the desktop school supply program was officially canceled. Up until the final year this program supplied many children with their basic school supply needs. As a result many families were left without any alternative. This forced a strain on the classroom environment that may have resulted in an unforeseen effect on their academic performance.
Everything is about “Christians coming together to bless the children of Orange County”. Orange Christian Services, Salvation Army, area schools, Department of Family and Protective Services, churches of all denominations and businesses are coming together to serve all of the children of Orange County by providing school supplies, immunizations, haircuts, (along with socks, underwear and other essential items), books, information about available services, food, and of course fun.
“If God be for us, who can be against us?” Christians of Orange County are in a season of Unity from all denominations and from all walks of life. We have come together for one cause. To live out 1 John 3:18 and show our love through action.
A little about our success last year:
